
Meet Our Founder
Lisa Stillwell is an award-winning educator, author, and speaker who has dedicated her life to inspiring, encouraging, and equipping the next generation. She is a native of Grambling, Louisiana, and resides in the Houston area. Lisa worked in roles such as Career and Technical Education Instructor, Marketing Coop Teacher, Magnet Coordinator, Grant Administrator, new teacher mentor, and College and Career Readiness Advisor, positively impacting the lives of more than 8,000 students.
Her dedication has been recognized through numerous honors, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, Congressional and State Senatorial Awards and City of Houston recognitions for outstanding service/achievements, the Top 25 Women of Houston Award, Outstanding Teacher of the Year, Master Certified Entrepreneurship Teacher of the Year, Who’s Who in Black Houston, and multiple academic and professional accolades.
Lisa is the Founder and Executive Director of Celebrating You, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to fostering leadership, entrepreneurship, character development, financial literacy, and college and career readiness in youth. She is also an entrepreneur and owner of Invest in You, a business created to empower others. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the
inaugural edition of the Invest in You Educator Magazine.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Grambling State University and a master’s degree from the University of Washington and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Lisa treasures her role as wife to her husband, Samuel, and mother of two children, with the added joy of being grandmother to four grandchildren.
